I'm Leann Herron, a Certified Life Coach, Holistic Health Coach, Transformation Coach for Women, Founder of Finding Resilience with Leann, and the Creator and Host of the Happiness On Tap Podcast.
For a long time, I thought being stressed and overwhelmed was just part of being a woman, a mother, a partner, a professional. You power through. You make the to-do lists. You juggle the roles. And when your body starts screaming for rest or your emotions start spilling over, you tell yourself, Just get it together.
But here’s what I’ve learned—often the hard way—about stress and overwhelm: they aren’t just things to manage. They are messengers. They show up not because we’re broken or weak or dramatic, but because something within us needs tending.
I used to live in a constant state of low-grade stress. My nervous system was always humming, my shoulders tight, my breath shallow, and my mind constantly scanning for what could go wrong next. I was highly functional on the outside—productive, dependable, the one others leaned on. But inside? I felt like I was running on fumes. I didn’t know how to name what I was feeling. I just knew I wasn’t okay.
After two failed marriages, raising two amazing children to prosperous adults, navigating two decades in accounting and thirteen years in the legal field, my journey led me to a profound realization about the importance of self-care and personal growth.
I battled through Life and Health struggles with all my strength.
I weathered the storms of Intimacy and Relationship trials and emerged stronger.
I soared to new heights in my Career and Business surpassing my own expectations.
I transformed my relationship with Money creating abundance and prosperity.
I deepened my Spirituality finding profound peace and purpose.
My triumph over these obstacles ignited a deep desire to help other women facing similar struggles.
A little about me, and why I became a Health Coach and Life Coach and created Finding Resilience with Leann.
In 2019 and 2020 I suffered with PTSD daily for 7 months due to reliving trauma triggers from 20+ years prior. After quitting multiple times and returning to work out of guilt, I finally quit my job and decided to leave the legal profession which had been my career for 13 years.
I was drowning in trauma soup. Brain fog, memory loss, fear, self-doubt, it was terrible. I thought I had lost my resilience, my ability to keep trudging forward through life’s worst moments. It was gone. My confidence in my skills and abilities were gone. I had to find a way out of the darkness and back to my light.
That changed when I found Brené Brown’s Atlas of the Heart. That book didn’t just give me words—it gave me permission. Permission to feel, to name, and to listen to my emotions without shame or self-judgment. For the first time, I understood that overwhelm is not a failure. It’s not a sign I’m not doing enough—it’s a sign I’ve done too much for too long without enough support or rest.
Reading that book felt like a reckoning. It gave shape and substance to the emotional fog I had been swimming in. Words like anguish, dread, resentment, and disappointment helped me understand the layers beneath my stress response. My body wasn’t betraying me—it was communicating with me.
That’s when I found a program to become a Certified Life Coach and Health Coach. I could re-learn what was missing while learning new skills that could help others reduce their stress, make changes like finding a new career/or calling, leaving a toxic relationship (I did that too), learning how to live a new life with purpose.
I completed my certification as a Certified Health Coach and Life Coach in September of 2022, and became an entrepreneur and business owner. Through self-education and self-discovery, I found my true calling in supporting women in their quest for resilience and personal development.
Now, as a transformation coach for women, I see it over and over again: we’ve been taught to override our emotional signals instead of honoring them. We label ourselves “too sensitive” or “too emotional” when we’re actually being invited into deeper self-awareness and healing.
Here’s the truth:
✅ Stress often signals a misalignment between what we value and how we’re spending our energy.
✅ Overwhelm is a boundary issue—it’s what happens when too much is coming in and not enough is going out.
✅ Anxiety may be a call to slow down and get grounded, not just push through.
✅ Frustration can reveal where you feel disempowered or unheard.
These signals are gold. When we listen to them instead of fighting them, we begin to access real clarity and resilience.
I’m not perfect at this (no one is), but now when stress creeps in, I pause. I get curious. I ask:
🌀 What am I really feeling?
🌀 What needs are going unmet?
🌀 What boundary is asking to be honored?
Sometimes I need to cry. Sometimes I need to scream into a pillow. Sometimes I just need to rest without guilt. And sometimes, I need to take brave action to change something that no longer fits.
If you’re in a season of stress or overwhelm right now, I want to remind you: your emotions are not your enemy. They are your internal guidance system. And you’re not alone.
There’s no shame in feeling deeply. The real power comes when we learn how to listen.
Let’s normalize tuning in instead of powering through.
And if no one’s told you lately—you deserve support, space, and softness.
If you are ready to make a transformative change, you have come to the right place. I am here to share the tools and techniques I have developed and learned from others to conquer fear, self-doubt, brain fog, anxiety, and panic.
The key to my success is self-education and learning from others who have achieved success.
