About Me & My Experience
I'm Leann Herron, CLC, CHC. I am a full-time Certified Personal Development Coach and the proud owner of Finding Resilience with Leann. I'm also the creator and host of the Happiness On Tap podcast.
My healing journey began with struggles and challenges, ultimately leading me to embark on a path of self-exploration and personal development. Through my own experiences, I discovered the incredible impact that mindset shifts, self-care practices, and how intentional living can have on one's overall well-being.
I hope my story provides hope and strength to remind others that we can weather any storm if we have the right support.
After suffering from anxiety, panic, and post-traumatic stress in late 2019, 2020, and 2021, I was drowning in trauma soup. My main issues were brain fog, memory loss, panic, and fear. I thought I had lost my resilience. I wasn't bouncing back. I was working in the legal field and was doubting my skills, constantly doubting if I had completed my critical tasks. Everyday tasks were taking me twice the amount of time because the fog was so thick, I couldn't remember doing things. The trauma I suffered in late 2019 and 2020 was a trauma trigger from 25 years earlier that was never treated. I finally decided to resign and went to work on healing from my trauma.
I have always been interested in self-improvement and personal growth, a lifetime learner, but I didn't have anyone tell me about self-care, giving from a full cup, or that it wasn't my responsibility to fix others. I spent months researching, creating a meditation practice, and learning about ways to improve the thoughts that were fueling self-doubt, overwhelm, anxiety, and stress. I began practicing relaxation techniques, spending time grounding in nature, and started treatment through individual therapy and other holistic wellness services.
After being in the corporate world for 30 years and seeing my friends and colleagues struggle with health issues, rising health costs, Covid-19 and the unexpected loss of loved ones, hyper-stress, general fear, social isolation, and toxic workplace culture, this led me to pursue my certification as a Life and Health Coach with Health Coach Institute.
I have been a certified Life and Health Coach since 2022, working with clients from all walks of life and helping them navigate through life's challenges.
As a Personal Development Coach, I am dedicated to helping individuals enhance all aspects of their lives and unlock their full potential. I assist clients in recognizing their strengths, and areas for growth, setting meaningful goals, overcoming challenges, and adjusting their path as necessary.
My passion lies in promoting personal growth, empowerment, and embracing life to the fullest. I strongly believe in the profound impact of mindset and self-discovery, and I am committed to supporting individuals in unleashing their true capabilities and crafting a life they truly cherish.

First, let's begin with why a client chooses to meet with a life coach.
You may be experiencing a range of challenging emotions, including feeling stressed, stuck, frustrated, overwhelmed, defeated, upset, scared, at a crossroads, and hopeless. All kinds of people use life coaches, including actors, business leaders, creatives, entrepreneurs, executives, homemakers, managers, parofessionals, small business owners, and start-up pioneers. No matter where you are in life, a life coach can provide valuable support, guidance, and accountability to help you achieve your goals and live a more fulfilling life.
Unfortunately, health insurance typically does not cover life coaching. While many insurance providers cover services such as therapy, counseling, and psychiatric treatment, life coaching falls outside the scope of these covered treatments. Here’s why:
Different Purposes: Life coaching and therapy serve different purposes. Therapy is often used for treatment of mental health conditions, whereas life coaching focuses on personal development, goal-setting, and overcoming challenges. Life coaches help clients clarify values, set goals, and provide perspective on various aspects of life.
Coverage Limitations: Health insurance plans vary, but most do not include coverage for life coaching. Insurance companies prioritize medically necessary treatments, and life coaching is not considered such a treatment. Life coaching is not intended to diagnose or treat psychiatric conditions, which is why it doesn’t fall under insurance coverage.
In summary, if you’re seeking life coaching services, it’s essential to understand that insurance coverage is unlikely. You may need to explore other payment options or consider self-pay for life coaching sessions. Keep in mind that while insurance doesn’t cover life coaching, it can still be a valuable investment in your personal growth and well-being!
This is a big question. Although they both advise and assist individuals, there are significant differences between life coaches and therapists. A life coach looks at your present to help you create the future you desire, while a therapist looks at your past to help you manage your present. A life coach helps people get clarity on their goals and uses a mostly forward-looking approach to take action for the future using goal-setting activities and other personal development exercises. Oftentimes a therapist helps people deal with and process past trauma or difficulties, focusing mostly on the issues that have been a problem in the past.
“Stuckness” is the #1 reason that people hire a life coach. Stuckness, however, is not a generalized human condition!
When people hire a life coach, they are often looking for help with a very specific problem. While coaching can help a client find increased satisfaction across many areas of life, there’s usually a specific point of entry that kicks off the process.

My husband and I enjoy attending local artist pop-up events and gallery shows. We fell in love with the local art scene while our relationship was growing and blooming. We love supporting local creatives and one reason I endeavored to provide gallery space for our local artist friends and artists we have yet to meet.
Finding Resilience with Leann's Thriving Women's Circle meets every Thursday from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. Every month there is a different theme and focus for the group, including education and guided meditation.

Guided meditations are led by Meditation Moments.
Dress comfortably, this event is spent on the floor on yoga mats. We stretch, laugh, and catch up with each other.
